Job Summary

The Research IT Project Manager will oversee a project that have budgets in the range of $1-2M and is accountable for project delivery across the program

• Primarily sourced in the scope of individual Statements of Work (SOWs) detailing specific projects - and the respective delivery teams.

• The Project Manager has responsibility for the health and success of components of the Research IT program working in a highly matrixed organization with direct relationships with the Functional Leads and with the Research IT Program Manager.

• The Project Manager will monitor resources both internal to Client as well as external vendors and partners.

• The Project Manager is accountable for ensuring that the projects are delivered according to committed scope, approved budget, and target dates.

• The Project Manager will ensure that vendors and third-party project managers provide committed project management deliverables to the appropriate cadence and to a high level of quality. These deliverables will fully disclose all relevant aspects of budget and schedule adherence.

• This role will require the ability to:

- Monitor, manage, and ensure predictable delivery of projects

- Drive delivery and accountability of vendors and third-party project managers

- Work with various Client stakeholders from various matrixed organizations to coordinate activities and deliverables

- Enable escalation of risks and issues that require assistance, attention, or executive resolution

• Provide weekly status reporting on the progress and health of projects

• Track, manage and report against the project budget

Skills Required:

• 5+ years project management experience, ideally including budget accountability

• Experience with both waterfall and Agile methodologies

• Experience managing and tracking projects utilizing MS Project

• Experience in leading daily stand-ups and cross-functional meetings

• 8+ years’ experience as an IT professional

• A background in Life Sciences projects, ideally in pharmaceutical or biotech Research

• Excellent communication skills – particularly organizing and presenting project information to management

• Experience working with third party vendor management

Additional Expectations

• Experience with validated GxP systems projects

• Experience with Water’s NuGenesis data archival capabilities

Education:

• BA or BS in Computer Science, Business, or Life Sciences-related field required Graduate degree in a relevant field preferred

• PMP or equivalent credentials preferred
