6 months contract-to-hire position for a Jr. Accountant/Financial Analyst in Irvine, CA

• Our client is looking for a Jr. Accountant/Financial Analyst to join our North America Finance Team.

• We are seeking a diligent professional who will support various teams and staff throughout the organization.

• The ideal candidate will be able to effectively multi-task, have a strong accounting background and understanding.

• This role reports to the Senior Financial Analyst and, will be expected to perform accounting related tasks/responsibilities as needed.

Roles/Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with applicable departments to collect and provide financial support in relation to purchase requests, invoices and payments.

• Expense review, approval and analysis.

• Book keeping and monthly closing.

• Review and input data to support various analyses.

• Work with management to translate data needs into reporting requirements.

• Participates and assist with special projects as needed.

• Meet aggressive deadlines in preparation for daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly business reviews.

• Responsible for analyzing data using advanced Excel and customized data base application.

• Assist in monthly reconciliation of reports with HQ.

• Cash management: manage bank transactions, corporate credit card transactions and bank statement reconciliations.

• Perform ad-hoc projects as assigned

Experience/Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited 4 year college or university with major course work in accounting.

• Proficient knowledge of Excel and experience with a heavy/complex database management required.

• 1-2 years working experience in finance or accounting.

• Must be organized, self-motivated and have strong attention to detail

• Must be both independent and a strong team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

• Possess a cooperative “can-do” attitude.

• Professional, accessible, and flexible to the changing needs of the department and region.

• Able and willing to work flexible hours in order to accomplish daily/monthly tasks.

• Capable of handling complex situations with imitative and adapts well to change.

• Excellent work ethics and reliability.
