Director of Staff Development (DSD) / Staff Development Coordinator – Century City, CA

We have a new employment opportunity for an experienced Director of Staff Development (DSD) / Staff Development Coordinator in a quality Nursing Home located in Century City, California. This position is open to both RNs and LVNs.

Director of Staff Development responsibilities:

• Monitors staff license status

• Manages Infection Control

• Provides appropriate in-services

• Maintains employee education and certification files

• Tracks employee health issues

Director of Staff Development qualifications:

• Prior experience as a DSD / SDC within Long Term Care required

• Licensed Vocational Nurse / Licensed Practical Nurse (LVN / LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) required

• Infection Control experience

• Enthusiastic and energetic

• Familiar with adult learning techniques

• Comfortable with training large groups

The chosen Director of Staff Development will encourage the personal well-being and professional growth of all employees while ensuring current training and continuing education for the nursing team. Prior experience as a DSD within LTC required.
