Position Overview:

The Towed Array Handling Equipment Facility (TAHEF) is the depot-level repair activity for US Navy surface ship and submarine towed array handling systems. It is a Government Owned-Contractor Operated (GOCO) facility located at the Naval Station Newport.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

The successful candidate will be the Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Manager for the TAHEF depot.

As such they will:

Perform logistics analysis and support for US Navy and FMS towed array handling systems for submarines and surface ships.

Perform logistics analysis and support for towed array handling equipment being overhauled, repaired and upgraded at TAHEF.

Plan, allocate and schedule resources required for all overhaul and delivery of TAHEF using inventory level information from the Fleet.

Review and provide inputs/updates to daily Work-In-Process (WIP) report including Not-Ready-For-Issue (NRFI) inventory for products awaiting processing.

Produce Bill of Materials (BOMs)/logistic packages.

Investigate problems and develop disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies.

Interface with government customers and outside vendors to ensure that requirements are met.

Recommend corrective actions, dispositions, process optimization and modifications.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

United States Citizenship.

Ability to obtain and maintain an Active Secret Clearance; candidates currently possessing an Active Secret Clearance are preferred.

Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline,

OR equivalent experience/combined education with

At least two (2) years of relevant experience.

Able to generate reports and presentations using Microsoft Office Suite.

Desired Skills:

Familiar with the use of JobBOSS and MasterControl Document Control Software.

Knowledge of Navy terminology and acronyms along with engineering terminology.

Knowledge of Navy ERP system.

An understanding of generating work orders, sending requests for quote and preparing purchase requisitions.
