We've partnered with a $1 billion+ global leader in the printing industry seeking talented individuals to join their growing organization. They're looking for narrow web flexo press operators on 1st and 2nd shift.

1st shift: 7am-3pm

2nd shift: 3pm-11pm

Candidates with any previous narrow web flexo experience will be considered (Mark Andy, Nilpeter, Comco, Aquaflex, Gallus, etc.) as they run a variety of presses.

Position Summary:

The Machine Operator will be responsible for operating equipment in the one or more value streams. This position is responsible for the production of valuable, defect-free products that meet or exceed our customers' expectations. The machine operator will be successful in this position by executing to standard work and adhering to all company policies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Follow Schedule Boards or Hour by Hour boards

Run samples and adjust print quality, registration, color settings and mixings to match order specifications.

Perform final pre-run inspection of job, quality checks during the run, and job completion, meeting quality and quantity standards.

Perform all required preventive maintenance of press.

Handle and dispose of hazardous materials and chemicals according to procedures.

Work from standard work, written instructions, and established procedures to complete assigned tasks.

Address and resolve routine inquiries and problems, referring the more complex issues to the supervisors.

Interact with different shifts to provide updates on current jobs, issues, or updates.

All other duties as assigned

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.

Basic computer skills E-mail, Microsoft Office, and Data Entry

Basic math skills

Ability to safely lift and carry 50 lbs

Ability to stand for 80% of shift

Ability to push/pull 22 lbs

Ability to climb 8 inches; frequent standing and walking

Ability to troubleshoot and communicate process issues

Effective verbal and written communication skills

Technical & Analytical skill set

Ability to read & follow written directions

Detail oriented, strong work ethic & a positive can do attitude

Desire to learn

Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Mechanical aptitude (working with hand tools, pneumatic tools, following work instructions for disassembling and reassembling various types of process equipment)

Must be able to read a ruler accurately within 1/64".

Quality conscious and attention to detail

Ability to maintain standards of production, both in quantity and quality.

Willingness and ability to be cross-trained on other machines and in other departments

Ability to follow standard work.

Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Minimum 1 year experience in roll forming/printing/web handling/compounding/coating

Contribute to problem solving through root-cause analysis

Ability to demonstrate leadership qualities and self-directed

Experience in lean manufacturing

Basic algebra (e.g. order of operations)

Willingness and ability to learn and understand fluid mechanics at a basic level.
