ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: (Resume due by 10 PM CT on 11/15/2018)

Duration of Temporary Employment: End of March, 2019

Days and times of Temporary Employment: Generally Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, with occasional evenings/weekends

1 . Provide information to students on workforce and CTE awards and the occupations associated with the awards. Provide information on the application process for competitive admissions programs.

2. Assist students in career exploration process, including providing assistance with career exploration tools and interest assessments.

3. Advise students on proper course selection for workforce and CTE programs including course prerequisitest co-requisites, and recommended course sequence.

4. Advise students on opportunities for transfer of AAS degrees into bachelor degrees. Provide coaching and advising to students on skills to develop clear and attainable educational plans.

5. Track and provide data on students with declared workforce majors. May include success, retention, completion, and graduation rates as well as other data.

6. Track students through program completion and provides assistance in completing graduation checks and applications.

7. Advise students with job search for in-school students, externship students, and graduate's employment in the field of study.

8. Provide information on job search and interviewing techniques and in appropriate follow up. Provide resources for interview preparation.

9. Advise and assist students and graduates in developing resumes and cover letters. Contact students who have workforce credits or are close to workforce award completion but are not enrolled in courses and advises steps to completion.

10. Serve as a resource to colleagues in advising, admissions, outreach, and other areas on workforce programs and CTE awards.

11. Work collaboratively with faculty, student recruitment and retention. Provide students with information and proper referrals to available resources and services on campus.

12. Responsible for other reasonable related duties as assigned.
