Analyze the supply chain operation with the responsibility of optimizing spare aircraft parts inventory at American Airlines. Optimize the variable elements of planning such as demand forecasts, purchasing strategies, distribution strategies, production schedules, planning lead-times, MIN MAX replenishment, intercompany shipping channels, lifecycle management, and target service levels, applying an understanding of roles and processes within an airline supply chain in order to make recommendations for systems and process improvement. Analyze airline business processes and recommend system rules and identify opportunities to implement automation and exception-based management. Simulate and analyze different scenarios. Blend data and analyze using Alteryx, Tableau, Access, Excel, and/or other analysis tools. Investigate mathematical and logical models used to optimize spare parts for airline maintenance. Work with and provide direction to industry consultants, Ops research analysts, and IT professionals. Performs time sensitive analysis for senior leadership of supply chain.

Work Schedule: 40 hours per week/8 a.m.-5 p.m./M-F.

3 years of experience, in an analysis or strategy role within an airline, including cargo, material planning, and inventory management, plus demonstrated experience in using the following: Teradata and Cognos for data mining and analysis; Sharepoint for project and report management; OAG or DIIO for airline schedule analysis; Advanced MS Excel skills to model data; Advanced MS PowerPoint skills to package and present analyses, findings and strategies to senior leadership.

Master of Business Administration (MBA) or related field
