Shipping/Receiving – Full Time Position, Monday thru Friday 6:30am to 2:30pm (or 7am to 3pm)

Custom Hydraulic & Machine is a small, team oriented manufacturing company in Kent who works at a very fast pace, and is looking for someone who is dependable, has strong computer skills, is organized, able to multi-task, and can be on their feet all day. We need someone who has an eye for detail, strong work ethic, and who is a team player but can also work independently.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

*Review customer contracts and retrieve packaging codes/requirements to prepare for shipments.

*Package outgoing shipments in accordance with contract requirements.

*Develop knowledge of customer standard clauses, customer coded notes, government FAR clauses, commercial packaging practices and specifications specific to government contract shipping requirements.

*Develop knowledge about carriers and various freight terms and shipping regulations and practices.

*Issue material and generate purchase orders on shop orders for outside processes.

*Receive all incoming shipments and verify trace codes and/or heat numbers as required, condition and count.

*Interact with delivery drivers.

*Ensure incoming material is properly received and recorded in our MRP system.

*Perform marking and product identification as required per shop order.

*Copy Cert Packages and include with material shipment.

*Upload Cert Package into government website.

*Make Local Deliveries/Pick-Ups in Company Van

OTHER DUTIES

*Responsible for the acquisition and management of shipping supplies.

*Clean work area including inventory stock areas

*Identify problems, investigate the root-cause, and make recommendations for solutions

*Perform other related duties as required

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

*Valid WA State Driver’s License with a Clean Driving Record

*Must be a U.S. Citizen (strict NOFORN policy enforced by our Customers)

*High School Diploma/GED

*Must Be Computer Savvy (shipments/BOL’s/P.O.'s, etc, are all done online)
