Client is searching for a motivated Program Control Analyst to support a line of business.

Primary Job Duties

- Review, monitor, and report project financial performance (revenue, cost, margins) and identify and present potential deviations against budget or forecasts to management.

- Proactively partner with program management team with analysis and recommendations within the scope of program control.

- Support preparation of client status reports, program reviews, or program related financial requests for clients, internal management, and other stakeholders.

- Ability to do planning, estimating, tracking, analysis and reporting throughout the life cycle of a portfolio of contracts and task orders as assigned.

- Build and maintain a current, accurate, and timely bottom’s up Estimates-at-Completion (EAC’s) for all project types and conduct monthly review meetings with Stakeholders.

- Support the development and maintenance of portfolio forecasts during monthly updates.

- Monitor and review project and program expenditures for accuracy and consistency. Collaborate with accounting department in resolving any discrepancies or miscoding of expenditures.

- Coordinate with project team to provide project setup, labor assignments, WBS structure to Project Accounting.

- Provide financial oversight for customer invoice review and funding notifications.

- Review and analyze contract awards and modifications to ensure program meets financial requirements and expectations.

- Support the monthly business rhythms of both the program and finance organizations.

- Ability to interface with members of Finance, Accounting, Contracts, Pricing, Procurement, Technical, and Senior Management.


The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

- Knowledge of or experience with project management best practices and principles.

- Knowledge of or experience with project controls practices and principles, including work breakdown structure development, status reporting, and what-if analysis.

- Demonstrated excel and reporting writing skills.

- Must have knowledge of US Government contract types (T&M, FP, Cost Plus)

Minimum Requirements

- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration with equivalent experience, advanced experience can be substituted for a BS degree.

- 3-5 years of experience performing a project control function and/or producing corporate financial reporting

- Advanced Microsoft Excel experience is highly preferred

- Deltek Costpoint and COGNOS experience is highly preferred

- Strong verbal communication skills including development and delivery of presentations, proposals, and reports.

- Demonstrated ability to develop creative solutions to a variety of challenges in a fast paced environment.

- Strong data analytical skills to support the financial and analytical requirements of the position.
