Work From Home

This position is responsible for the continuing maintenance and improvement of the Bitterroot Saddle Co. e-commerce website. This job will involve working on a live customer facing website so attention to detail is essential to success.

Responsibilities:

Update the website content and assets such as images, logos, channel lineups, videos, product catalog, online offers and packages

Update the website for use on mobile devices.

Help us get “found” on google with SEO updates to each web page and product.

Keep the website secure and working well.

Keep the domain name and hosting arrangements up to date.

Perform updates and upgrades to the content management system (BigCommerce).

Keep the BigCommerce themes and plugins up to date.

Manage the online products and make changes as necessary.

Manage user access.

Moderate comments and blog posts.

Monitor and report website statistics using BigCommerce, Google Webmaster Tools, and Google Analytics

Backup the system and database.

Maintain a log of prices from each supplier for backup purposes.

Make updates to Social platforms including Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, Twitter and Google My Business.

Full written content will be provided for the website by the business owners. (please note this is a content population task, not a content creation role.)

Required Experience:

Experience with BigCommerce

Basic HTML/CSS skills

Experience working on a live website

Excellent attention to detail

Excellent communication skills

Great work ethic, honesty and integrity

Ability to use initiative and ask questions appropriately to ensure the job is completed correctly

Desired Experience And Traits:

A Western Horse(man/woman) or knowledge of horses and gear

Solid knowledge writing and reading standard HTML tags

Knowledge of basic SEO best practices

Graphic design skills: Photoshop and basic video platforms and software

Skilled in image resizing, exporting and manipulation and video encoding

Uploading and managing assets (images, videos, documents, etc.) using FTP

Knowledge of Responsive Design

Further Information:

As a Contractor, you will not be an employee of Bitterroot Saddle Company. You will receive a 1099 at the end of each year to file with your taxes. You will be responsible for tracking and reporting your hours each month.
