Newcon Optik is a world leader in the design and manufacture of precision electro-optics. We are currently looking to fill the position of “Production Foreman”. Production foreman will co-ordinate the activities of production workers and lead the production process in a manner necessary to meet or exceed safety, delivery, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement standards.

Production Foreman

General Responsibilities:

• Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule the activities of workers who assemble, fabricate, inspect and test electronic and electromechanical assemblies, subassemblies, parts and components

• Establish methods to meet production plans and co-ordinate work activities with other departments

• Support and monitor individual and team performance targets

• Resolve work problems and recommend work measures to improve productivity and product quality

• Provide guidance and clear instructions to workers, train workers in job duties, safety procedures and company policies and ensure safety rules and regulations are followed

• Prepare production and other reports

• Ensure that operations are compliant with the quality guidelines as per the ISO 9001:2015 requirements

• Other duties as may be required

Experience, Skills & Education Requirements:

• Secondary education

• 5+ years of experience as an assembler or technician in a manufacturing environment

• Experience with assembling electro-optical systems and products is an asset

• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with ability to multi-task and work under pressure

• Exceptional interpersonal skills to be able to deal with people on all organizational levels and work in team environment

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word and Excel
