Position Overview

Sparking innovation and thought leadership, this hands-on transformational role will be leading, coordinating and developing resources to accomplish business goals; partnering internally and externally to define and make effective business decisions; solving complex problems; escalating issues and/or risks as appropriate; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; evaluating recommendations made; and influencing the completion of projects and initiatives to meet business objectives. Our BPE&A leader is able to translate objectives into well defined, measurable and cost-effective projects and end-state deliverables, employ analytical tools, decision support, quality tools, automation and process simplification to targeted areas of the business to ensure Zelis systems and processes are scalable, efficient and effective.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage a team of Business Process Analysts

Hands-on execution ability

Identify process gaps and organizational inefficiencies using process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen and Business Process Re-engineering.

Identify, define and deliver business solutions that meet corporate business objectives while improving cost, quality, efficiency, scalability and margin.

Lead high performing teams consisting of resources from various departments, backgrounds, and experience to ensure project objectives are achieved. Design, organize and drive workshops with SME’s.

Provide expert analytical advice to constituents on matters relating to people, process and technology. This includes analyzing, assessing, and providing recommendations for improving or simplifying organization-wide business processes.

Introduce innovation into processes that can impact results, improve efficiency and assist the organization to meet its business objectives and goals.

Ensure change occurs in a purposeful, controlled manner; design and manage change taking into consideration both stakeholder and systems impact.

Determine appropriate rollout strategies and processes to ensure effective and timely adoption of improvement initiatives.

Conduct project close analysis, and identify key learnings to refine company methodologies

Develop and demonstrate knowledge of Healthcare business processes, organizational structures and business objectives.

Use statistical analysis and business metrics to assess and improve the effectiveness of processes and systems.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

10+ years of relevant experience performing duties outlined above with progressive responsibility

Strong leadership and excellent communication skills, with experience managing, motivating and mentoring teams/individuals

Willing and able to create and deliver (hands-on execution ability)

Knowledge of operational excellence/process improvement programs and systems

Experience with business process engineering/reengineering

Possess strong decision making and prioritization skills

Experience overseeing and managing complex, organizationally matrix-based programs and schedules

Excellent interpersonal/customer relations skills; clear and concise verbal and written communicator, with the ability to effectively navigate and mediate conflict and foster honest dialog

Be able to work independently; anticipating and resolving problems

Self-motivated and pro-active with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities

Ability to come up to speed on technology quickly, can articulate benefits and business value

Collaborate with a cross-functional team to develop strategic initiative, tools, etc.

Be the internal evangelist, build consensus with executives, colleagues, and third parties

EDUCATION/TECHNICAL SKILLS

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen and Business Process Re-engineering

Strong proficiency in the Microsoft Office product suite
