Position Description Summary

Job Title: Business Development Sales Representative

Location: 75% working out of an office in your home. 25% working out of Company office.

Position: Full-time, W2 employee

Compensation: Salary plus commission/bonus. Salary based on the candidates qualifications.

Company Provided: Company cell phone, computer, customer entertainment (meals), travel reimbursement.

Your challenge includes playing a key role in growing our annual revenue 50% annually. You have a knack for winning people’s trust, and have a track record of a high win rate to show for it!

1 Year Outcomes

The Business Developer/Sales Representative will be held accountable for:

• Grow Annual Revenue by 50% annually – Find leads/ opportunities, qualify leads, gather intelligence and develop win strategies for the proposal team.

o 2018 Goal: Increase revenue from $8M to $12M.

o 2019 Goal: Increase revenue from $12M to $18M.

o 2020 Goal: Increase revenue from $18M to $30M.

o 75% from existing client base and 25% from new customers.

o New clients align to the Company’s Corporate strategy, financial goals and core customer profile

• Pipeline of Opportunities –Build a pipeline of leads and qualified opportunities that fully aligns with the Company’s sales goals based on the following timeline:

o 90 days

o 6 months

o 12 months

o 18 months

• Win Rate –Achieve a 35% win rate with qualified pipeline opportunities at the 4 time frames identified above.

Role Key Activities

• Lead Pipeline Development: Find opportunities that align with the company's strategy, supply opportunity intel, assess and qualify leads. Update and manage the Company pipeline.

• Demand Generation: Present differentiated products, services, capabilities in the market and identify new bid & sole source opportunities.

• Proposal support: Develop win strategy and supply opportunity intel to support proposal development.

• Client Success: Initiate and sustain client communication and develop long term relationships with clients.

• Sales Program: Engage, adapt, and lead the Company’s Sales Program which includes:

o Reporting – Update Sales dashboard and Pipeline with quantitative data on a weekly basis.

o Practice – Practice sales calls and capability briefings within the company on an ongoing basis.

o Learning – Participate in and contribute to Monthly Company learning activities.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Management or related field

• 8-10 years Sales or Industry experience

• Proven sales results as a Business Developer/Sales Representative for government and commercial clients

• Valid driver’s licenses

• Must be able to travel by motor vehicle and airplane

• Must be able to pass rigorous background check because you will be selling to government agencies

• Track Record of Success: Selling technology solutions to government agencies where the sales cycle is six months to a year or longer and where you selling value because your prices are higher.

• Communication: Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar. Have no vision impairment that cannot be corrected by prescription eyewear/contacts. Communicate effectively via phone, email and in-person. Effective interpersonal abilities.

• Computers: Advance abilities operating Windows Microsoft Office Software including Word, Excel and Outlook.
