In close partnership with data center management, this role will use their skills and experience to maintain oversite of regional trainers, create content, and at times provide instruction in order to create alignment and improve upon the established On-boarding and Training Programs for the Security Operations Centers and Security Services at the Data Centers.

In time, this role will also establish a Career Development Program for the Data Centers to preserve institutional knowledge and increase overall retention.

The program will provide support for those seeking certifications, highlight opportunities for cross-functional projects, and act as an informational liaison for those seeking to grow their careers within Global Security.

To accomplish these goals, the DC OTD Program Manager will supervise and coordinate a team of technical writers and trainers spread out across global data center footprint.

Responsibilities:

Must build and maintain strong relationships with global, regional, and site leadership to create a unified plan for the Training, Onboarding, and Development programs at the Data Centers.

Motivate and direct the actions of a global team by providing a clearly defined vision broken down in a manner that will consistently inform individual’s goals and objectives.

Leads daily operations and directs the implementation of standards, procedures and best practices that ensures a cohesive, consistent and uniform global program.

Oversee adaptive and flexible programs that will ensure the rapid creation of training materials & curriculum, from initiation to completion.

Able to conduct classroom and video teleconference training on diverse topics as required.

Continually conduct bench marking and research, proactively improving programs by bringing industry best practices to the attention of leadership.

Consistently liaise with partners to ensure that upcoming changes to security protocols and standard operating procedures are supplemented with appropriate training.

Oversee the regular audit of on-boarding and training materials to ensure they remain up to date.

Travel regularly to Data Center sites to audit training programs while gathering feedback, knowledge, and best practices.

Qualifications:

4 - 6 years of physical security experience, including leadership, preferably in a Data Center environment.

Direct experience in the organization and management of large-scale global projects.

Proficient in MS Suites to include Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint. etc.

Experience with security systems for cameras and access control required.

Ability to work independently and infuse innovation and creativity into strategic planning

Excellent writing, proofing, and editing skills.

Ability to meet multiple tight deadlines, and take ownership of tasks from start to finish without continual oversight.

Excellent communicator experienced in coordinating a team with members working remotely.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree; or 5+ years of relevant experience inclusive of 2+ years as a supervisor or manager.
