Staff Hunters is recruiting an Industrial Plant Electrician in the Southern Maine area.

Position Summary

In this position, the individual will perform technical maintenance/installation of electrical systems, repair, and installation functions according to all safety and company guidelines.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Industrial Plant Electrician:

Commercial/Industrial Wiring

Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and written specifications

Troubleshoot Single/Three phase systems

Conduit bending, reaming, and threading of pipe

Ability to troubleshoot/program PLC’S

Troubleshoot pneumatic, infrared, and manual controls

Perform routine skilled maintenance and repair on mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical equipment

Complete preventive maintenance requirements as assigned

Perform a variety of skilled building maintenance including repairs to HVAC systems, plumbing, doors, windows, roofs and other building parts

Performs press safety inspections as assigned

Responsible for completing safety related/ OSHA compliance projects

Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

Ability to follow lockout and tag out procedures

Support 6S initiatives

Carry cell phone as required for on-call maintenance.

Perform other duties as assigned

Overtime as required

Minimum Requirements of the Industrial Plant Electrician:

Competencies:

Associates degree preferred or 3 to 5 years of experience working in an industrial maintenance environment

Minimum Journeyman Electrical License

Wide knowledge of AC/DC distribution

Interpret and understand the National Electrical Code

Proficient on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems

Desire for continuous learning, willing to accept new challenges and the ability to adapt to change

Proficient on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems

Working knowledge of all OSHA required standards

Leadership abilities

Ability to work in a team environment

Good communication skills

Time Management

Work independently with little direction

PC skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office
