Real Estate Paralegal & Legal Secretary

Successful legal office is looking to add a Real Estate Paralegal to their team! The position requires an individual prepared to focus on the needs of the firm's real estate, municipal law, business/corporate and estate planning clients. Qualified candidates should possess a commitment to accuracy, diplomacy, attention to detail, and good writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities for Real Estate Paralegal:

Communication with attorneys, staff, clients, financial institutions, government offices and businesses

Transcribe dictated legal opinions, legal documents, and client letters

On-line research of municipal tax and assessing zoning records and registries of deeds

Preparing title insurance policies, act as liaison with title insurance company

Drafting deeds, leases, and business entity authority documents

Coordinating commercial real estate closings

Qualifications for Real Estate Paralegal:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook required

Ability to draft property descriptions from survey plans and prepare title insurance policies

Familiarity with commercial loan transactions, real estate closing software (including ProDocs), and estate planning documents

Experience supporting attorneys, preferably with knowledge of N.H. and/or Maine legal procedure

This is a Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm role. Compensation is DOE.
