We are looking for an Animal Caretaker that must live on-site in housing provided (a shared apartment). The on-site housing would be rent free in exchange for checking on dogs & cats every evening on a rotating basis, every other week. Our on-site Animal Caretakers work both daytime hours and evening hours.

Your evening responsibilities require you to be on duty every other week from Friday evening through the following Thursday evening, then off the following week. During your on duty week, you would be required to check on & care for our boarding guests, along with a few other simple duties each evening. This would take you approx. 35 minutes to 2 hours depending on guest capacity. Typically between 8:00 pm –10:00 pm. You would be paid an hourly rate for your time spent doing the evening check.

Typical daytime duties would include all aspects of animal care - feeding, medicating, bathing, exercising, cleaning, and sanitizing. Our daytime hours run typically between 7:30 am – 5:00 pm.

No previous animal experience is required, but you must enjoy and be comfortable working with dogs & cats of all breeds and sizes. You also need a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and have the desire to give the best possible care to our boarding guests... You would be thoroughly trained for all duties.

In the shared residence, you will have your own private bedroom & bathroom. The shared common areas are the kitchen, eating area, laundry room, and family room. The apartment comes complete with all appliances (refrigerator, dishwasher, stove/oven, microwave, washer and dryer, etc.). Other than your own personal bills, your only utility expense would be the electric bill (split with roommate). You may also choose to split internet/Wi-Fi access with your roommate.

Compensation: Free Housing, Full Time/Part Time employment & Very Competitive wages. Our Full Time staff benefits include paid vacations, a Simple IRA (similar to a 401k) retirement savings plan, & health insurance plan.

Requirements:
