At the direction of the Talent Acquisition Manager, the Field Recruiter is responsible for forecasting, sourcing, recruiting and interviewing for positions at assigned Smashburger restaurants. This individual will assist with the implementation of recruiting initiatives that build bench strength, build our employment brand, reduce turnover and ensure compliance with all application and federal state laws.


Support the entire market by acting as a recruiting expert in the subject matter of employment branding, hiring, employee retention and provide support for staffing issues

Create and manage the Smashburger recruitment advertising strategy thru various social media efforts related to employment branding

Build a solid pipeline of management candidates to continue to fill open positions on a timely basis

Interview all interested management candidates and streamline candidates through the entire interview process

Support District Managers & General Managers in placing team member ads to continue to build a team member applicant flow

Work closely with Regional Vice Presidents and District Managers to develop region-specific recruiting plans to continue to hire great talent on both the management and team member level

Identify new and effective recruiting sources outside and inside the 4 walls to ensure recruitment employment branding is being utilized

Communicate daily to the team to relay message of recruitment efforts being done and ensure the market is supported to maintain stability

Hold weekly bench planning calls with markets to ensure adequate staffing, resolve staffing issues and continue to ensure recruitment standards are being upheld

Create recruitment materials to maintain a streamlined interview process and to continue to build applicant flow

Maintain integrity of Applicant Tracking System


0-5 years recruiting experience in the restaurant field

Proficient at applicant tracking systems

Strong communication & organizational skills

Ability to multi task and meet our recruitment/support goals on a timely basis

Ability to handle a multitude of job openings with providing various levels of support on a daily basis

Proven ability to build partnerships and influence people
