Relief Pharmacist

We are looking for an experienced Pharmacist to cover some relief shifts for one of our clients is located in Vancouver, BC. You must have ability to work independently as you will work evening to midnight. The position is starting from mid-November to mid-December. As a Pharmacist you will be accountable to lead workflow of the pharmacy station, ensuring that all prescriptions are dispensed accurately. In Addition, you will maintain drug inventory levels by ordering necessary medications and supplies, and verifying deliveries against purchase orders.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare medications by reviewing and interpreting physician orders; detecting therapeutic incompatibilities.

• Maintain inventory up to date by cycle count procedures.

• Consult with members of the pharmacy management team when there are unresolved issues surrounding day to day work functions.

• Plan, administer, organize, and successfully implement all activities in relation to the pharmacy operations.

• Counsel patients on prescription medications and OTC products.

• Check whether the prescription will interact negatively with other drugs that a patient is taking or any medical conditions the patient has.

• Ensure proper handling, preparation, and packaging of drugs and pharmaceuticals.

• Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying company policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.

• Supervise pharmacy assistants providing guidance and all-important information.

• Provide a professional and confidential environment for all customers and employees.


• BC College License required

• 1-2 years’ experience working in a pharmaceutical environment as a Pharmacist

• Ability to work independently at midnight

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy

• System Knowledge of Health watch or/and Kroll is a must

• Excellent problem-solving skill handling customer related issues

• Must be detail oriented to support the pharmacy team to operate day to day operations

• Excellent customer service skill and interpersonal skill
