Job Summary:

RN-Clinical Research Quality Specialist conducts training, evaluation and review of clinical trials, large-scale multi-protocol, multi-institutional, and cancer control projects to ensure research integrity and compliance with institutional policies and regulations. Impacts the institution by ensuring compliance and scientific integrity with institutional and regulations relating to clinical research.

Specific Tasks:

• You shall provide guidance, evaluation and education to ensure research integrity and compliance with institutional policies, federal regulations, and other clinical practice guidelines.

• You shall provide quality assurance and educational services to research investigators.

• You shall perform site audits to ensure compliance to protocols regulatory agencies and sponsor guidelines and completeness of patient assessments, findings, and medication administration.

• You shall create reports to document all relevant results and observations from site visits.

• You shall prepare and implements project specific training programs and materials for presentation.

• You shall review new concepts and protocols in development.

• You shall communicate recommendations regarding patient safety, protocol inconsistencies and protocol.

• You shall act as an expert resource and liaison for internal and external agencies and research investigators.

Education:

• Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing.

Experience:

• Five years of nursing experience to include at least two years of clinical research experience.

License/Certification:

• Current license to practice professional nursing in the State of Texas (RN).

• Must pass pre-employment test as required and administered by Human Resources.
