Description:

SpiceRoads is searching for a talented and hungry business development individual, with specialist knowledge of the travel industry and Online Travel Agents (OTAs). This new role will consist of ownership of OTA accounts; maintaining relationships with current accounts, sourcing new partnerships, promoting new product offerings, and maximizing sales performance. This role will work closely with the Marketing, Sales, and Product Teams to be the voice and face of SpiceRoads to key OTA audiences and channels.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain current OTA partnerships through regular communication

• Identify new opportunities for OTA partnerships and negotiate contracts

• Crafting sales proposals for new prospects and contract renewals for existing partnerships

• Develop extensive knowledge of SpiceRoads products and features

• Research and assess OTA market and audience to maximize SR product offering to new and existing partners

• Uploading, managing, and ensuring quality of branded and product content on OTA websites

• Maintain OTA database and update as necessary

• Track, measure, and analyze OTA performance and report on status to Sales Manager

• Monitor and respond to feedback on OTA websites

• Work with Marketing Team to promote new products and features to OTAs for visibility and inclusion

• Utilize OTA offers for visibility and promotional opportunities

• Represent SpiceRoads brand, company initiatives, and sales and marketing strategy through timely communication of key objectives

• Stay up to date on latest OTA technology and provide suggestions for improvement

• Develop OTA strategy and tactics to be included in SR Sales and Marketing Strategies

Role reports to: Marketing Manager

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Tourism and Hospitality, or similar

• Experience working with Travel Agencies or Online Travel Agents preferred

• Strong communication skills with fluency in English (written and spoken)

• Passion for Travel and cycling

• Knowledge and Experience in the Travel industry

• 2 years minimum experience or similar working in sales and marketing in a fast-paced environment.
