Partnerships in Community Living, Inc. (PCL) is a large, nonprofit organization devoted to building partnerships with people with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD), their families, our communities, and our employees. Prospective candidates will show an understanding of the basic principles of dignity and respect for all people, while promoting the work of PCL concerning social justice for people with intellectual/developmental disabilities.

PCL is seeking a Registered Nurse to work in our homes supporting people with intellectual/developmental disabilities. The homes are primarily in Polk, Marion, and Lane Counties with some travel to Benton, Jackson and Josephine Counties. Hours are typically Monday- Friday 8am- 5pm. Work emphasis: completing Health Assessments, developing limited or full nursing care plans in accordance with the OAR’s, monitoring the plans and the health of those supported, delegation of nursing tasks, and providing training for staff and people supported.

Essential Functions

Essential Functions, Skills and Abilities:

Have a desire to work with people with intellectual/developmental disabilities

Ability to function well in a self directed team

A dedication to learn and improve skills related to the position

Self-motivated with strong time management skills. This includes the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously while able to assess and address priorities

Experienced in the use of a word processing program (i.e., Microsoft Word) and a spreadsheet program (i.e., Microsoft Excel); use of *Therap Software a plus

Strong skills in writing and verbal communication

Skilled in training and creative presentations

Understands and embraces the team process

The ability to develop and teach at small and large venues

Maintain confidentiality of all care information in accordance with HIPPA guidelines


Have a current RN license in the state of Oregon

Must be at least 18 years old with High School Diploma or GED

Possess a valid ODL with an acceptable driving record

Be able to regularly lift a minimum of 50 lbs

Pass a State/Federal criminal history check (fingerprints may be required)

Pass pre-employment drug screening

Pass a pre-employment computer skills assessment

Additional factors to be considered:

Experience in developing and implementing nursing care plans and protocols

Knowledge and experience of the Oregon Developmental Disability system

Knowledge and experience with the Oregon Administrative Rules (OARs’)

Compensation & Benefits Package:

Full time exempt salaried position starting salary of $4,200.00- $4,500.00 a month DOE.
