Responsible for developing and/or supporting manufacturing methods and processes for machining, metal finishing, assembly, and packaging operations for assigned product lines/ projects. Coordinates the introduction of new processes to the production floor insuring the timely introduction of capable/proven processes.

Minimum Educ and Exp:

• Four-year Degree in Engineering discipline and at least 5 years of relevant experience providing direct manufacturing process support, OR

• Masters’ Degree in Engineering discipline and at least 3 years of relevant experience providing direct manufacturing process support.

• Previous experience using risk management tools such as PFMEA’s or other control plans.

• A demonstrated understanding of manufacturing and its needs, giving the ability to research and develop the tools, processes, machines and equipment so as to integrate the facilities and systems to produce quality products economically and safely.

Preferred Educ and Exp:

• Minimum of 4 years hands-on technical experience in a machining environment with an advanced level of understanding of either machine platforms, subsequent processes such as finishing, packaging, laser etch, assembly, blasting or clean room.

• Society of Manufacturing Engineers certification as a “Certified Manufacturing Engineer”
