Description:

Project Manager – for Litigation Support/E-Discovery department of global law firm.

This position is responsible for managing the selection/utilization of current litigation support technologies, and case-specific information management techniques, processes, and tools by litigation teams.

Candidate will make recommendations to lawyers and clients regarding case support strategies and staffing, developing litigation support and discovery approaches and budgets, and coordinating/managing vendors. This position is also responsible for mentoring support staff on cases and often will participate as a case team member. Duties for this position include:

• Acting as project leader on assigned cases or lead during specific phases of large litigation matters such as discovery, or trial prep and location setup.

• Early in the case lifecycle, work with client representatives, lawyers, paralegals, and vendors to assist in hardcopy document and digital content collection, distribution or production regarding litigation matters.

• Coordinate with lawyers, paralegals, and other LSS members, and vendors ensuring accurate, and efficient management of document review and production.

• Conduct and participate in training and coaching lawyers and paralegals regarding best and most efficient use of the LSS supported software tools and techniques.

• Work with the Director on staffing cases, projects, project plans and budgets for case support.

• Coordinate with consultants, vendors, and firm IT staff to ensure proper delivery of services to case teams.

Position Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, 5+ years of experience in litigation support or paralegal area of a large law firm including trial experience; flexibility to travel to other offices and to trial sites; thorough understanding of typical litigation matter process, and of common litigation support, discovery and e-discovery management concepts, procedures, and systems; superior interpersonal and written communication skills; proven organizational and technical skills; proficiency with MS Office; significant experience with various litigation support database software tools and vendors.

Salary is commensurate with experience.
