Professional Development Coordinator – for global law firm in Washington, DC.

This position is responsible for assisting with firm and practice training. Candidate is the liaison for training with committees, practice groups, administrative departments, attorneys and staff throughout the Firm and is the point of contact for internal presenters and outside consultants and vendors.

Responsibilities for this position include: overseeing program logistics including scheduling, registration, materials, and logistics including conference facilities, food service, and technology; draft/distribute program communications; assist with promotion of professional development activities; operate as CLE database administrator; coordinate CLE administration and record-keeping for DC attorneys and coordinate with other offices to do the same; confirm firm-sponsored programs comply with CLE requirements as appropriate; maintain data and generate usage reports for CLE tracking system and other rosters as necessary; produce annual Course Catalog and work with practice groups to update Portfolios and Curricula on an ongoing basis; Maintain knowledge base of available training alternatives and respond to inquiries about outside training opportunities; assist with department budget analysis.

Position Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, strong attention to detail, strong interpersonal, and written communication, client service orientation, MS office proficiency, prior experience with database search and data entry, preferably an HR or learning management system, 2+ years of experience in comparable position in law firm or fast-paced professional services environment.

Salary is commensurate with experience.
