Responsibilities of the Assistant Administrator:

Assist with the preparation of the annual budget

Monitor performance of fixed route/paratransit operations

Maintain compliance with all Federal Transit Administration requirements

Assist in development/implementation of marketing program/activities

Assist Director of Finance in preparation of FTA grants

Participate in preparation of annual National Transit Database (NTD) reporting

Attend all Advisory Board meetings

Qualifications (Requirements) of the Assistant Administrator:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a public transit agency

OR a minimum of five(5) years’ experience with a State or Local agency with public transit responsibility

OR or a minimum of five(5) years’ experience with a local or regional planning agency with transit planning experience

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Undergraduate degree in Public/Business Administration OR Urban/Regional Planning

Master’s degree is preferred

This is a direct hire position with an industry competitive salary of $85,000 to $90,000 per year.
