Job Description: As a Java/J2EE Developer you will support implementation and development best practices while taking ownership of tasks and/or project work-streams and support and/or lead work-streams on projects related, but not limited, to systems implementation, and software application development, maintenance and testing. You will consults with users, clients and other technology groups on issues and recommend solutions while being held accountable for all phases of development of assigned coding work including process analysis, design, construction, testing and implementation while providing support on applications to business users. You will solve complex problems through in-depth evaluation of business processes, system processes, and industry standards while performing root cause analysis ensuring essential development standards are followed. You will verify and deploy programs and systems, troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing software, gather and evaluate user feedback, recommend and execute improvements, create technical documentation for reference and reporting, perform quality assurance tasks and engage in deployment, build and release process management.

Required Skills Include

At least 7 years of combined application development experience including 5 years of experience developing and writing requirement specifications. Demonstrated expertise writing professional, quality, secure, performance capable code. Experience designing and coding computer programs, subroutines, triggers, stored procedures, objects, classes and scripts in support of one or more applications. Extensive experience and knowledge working with object oriented principles. Knowledge of Spring MVC Framework or implementation. Experience with software development practices. Experience with software coding standards. Experience working with standard test tools and the testing processes. Knowledge of technical design process and models. Experience with SDLC / SW development processes, such as RUP, Agile, and/or Waterfall. Experience using analytical skills, tools and techniques to investigate information and to draw conclusions. Experience identifying operational issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS or other field involving software and analytical training, certifications and a minimum of 7 years of IT related work experience.
