RN CLINICAL SUPERVISOR CATH LAB

Serves as a primary nurse, preceptor, mentor and resource to staff in the Cardiac Cath Lab. Assists with directing and coordinating day-to-day activities and patient care, assuring patient flow, throughput and other workflow processes work efficiently in the Cath Lab. Assists the Cath Lab Director in the staffing, maintenance, and supervision of the department, with a focus on safety, quality, education and financial goals. Works with the Cath Lab Director to identify strategic goals for the Cath Lab and assists with accomplishment of those goals.

NURSES:

Nurses are currently in the application process for ANCC Pathway to Excellence designation.

The Client supports a Shared Governance model for all Nurses, this has allowed us to build a culture of sustained excellence, where nurses and administrators collaboratively determine nursing standards and allow nurses to share responsibility and accountability for patient care.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: (Submission Summary)

1. Current Colorado RN License or ability to obtain.

2. Current BLS and ACLS through the American Heart Association (AHA)

3. BSN is required; Masters is preferred.

4. Minimum of 3-5 years of applicable cardiovascular specialty nursing experience, with demonstrated proficiency in clinical skills working within the Cath Lab.

5. Experience in a Hybrid Cath Lab setting or in the areas of CVOR, EP, and/or Vascular Surgery are strongly preferred.

6. Demonstrated ability in leadership skills: coaching, counseling, vision or mission development, delegation, decision making, prioritizing, collaboration, direction, coordination, change management.

7. Demonstrated ability in interpersonal (verbal and written communication) skills: diplomacy, mediation, goal setting, group process, confrontation, negotiation, listening, liaison, and conflict resolution

8. The ideal candidate has significant experience in Cath Lab and enjoys working with a small, dedicated group of people.

9. Must be willing to take evening/night/weekend call on a rotating basis.
