Job Duties include but are not limited to:

-Provide appropriate therapeutic procedures and provide a full range of therapy services in support of patient referrals from the following specialties: Orthopedics, General Medicine and Surgery, Primary Care Clinic, Rheumatology and other referrals approved by Department Head/Division Officer.

-Test and measure the patient's strength, motor development, sensory perception, functional capacity, and/or respiratory and circulatory efficiency. Record findings to develop or revise treatment programs.

-Administer manual therapy to improve and maintain function. Evaluates all referred patients to determine current levels of Function-/dysfunction using standardized and clinically accepted measurement and evaluation tools, clinical observations, patient and staff interviews, and review of medical histories

-Administer treatments involving application of physical agents, using equipment such as a pulsed lavage unit and/or whirlpool bath, moist packs, ultraviolet and infrared lamps, and ultrasound machines. Evaluate effects of treatment at various stages and adjust treatments to achieve maximum benefit.

-Instruct patient and family in treatment procedures to be continued at home. Evaluate, fit, and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices and recommend modification as required.

Coordinate treatment with physician and other staff members to obtain additional patient information, suggest revisions in treatment program, and integrate physical therapy treatment with other aspects of the patient's health care.

-Record treatment, response, and progress in patient's chart and/or automated systems.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Completion of the following:

-Master's degree in physical therapy or Baccalaureate degree in physical therapy for graduates prior to January 1, 2002 from a college or university approved by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).

Experience: Candidates must have the following experience:

-Must be able to provide proof of clinical competency within the past 2 years


-National Background Investigation

-Must be a US Citizen

-Must have reliable transportation to and from site

License/Certification and Training:

-Possess a current, unrestricted license to practice Physical Therapy in any one of the fifty States, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands

-Basic Life Support from American Heart Association or American Red Cross


-Monday to Friday between hours of 6:30 A.M. - 4:30 P.M.
