Our client in Rochester Hills, MI is seeking a Administrative/Receptionist for a contract to direct hire position. May consider direct for the right fit. MUST HAVE MICROSOFT PROJECT PROGRAM EXPERIENCE (SCHEDULING PROGRAM).

Responsible for providing administrative and secretarial support for the company. In addition to typing, filing and scheduling, performs duties such as record keeping, coordination of meetings and conferences, obtaining supplies, coordinating travel and working on special projects. Answers telephones and prepares various documents and information in an accurate professional manner. Deals with a diverse group of important external callers and visitors as well as internal contact at all levels of the organization. Independent judgment and attention to detail is required to plan, prioritize and organize diversified workload while multi-tasking.


Schedules and organizes complex activities such as meetings, travel, conferences and department activities.

Performs desktop publishing. Creates and develops visual presentations as required.

Establishes, develops, maintains and updates filing system.

Retrieves information from files when needed. Establishes, develops, maintains and updates data as required.

Organizes and prioritizes large volumes of information.

Sorts and distributes mail.

Drafts written responses or replies by phone or e-mail when necessary.

Responds to regularly occurring requests for information

Answers phones for company. Takes messages or fields/answers all routine and non-routine questions.

Acts as a liaison with other departments and outside agencies, including high-level staff. Handles confidential and non-routine information and explains policies when necessary.

Works independently and within a team environment on special nonrecurring and ongoing projects.

Types general correspondences, memos, quotes, charts, tables, graphs, business plans, etc. Proofreads copy for spelling, grammar and layout, making appropriate changes. Responsible for accuracy and clarity of final copy.

Supports executive, marketing, engineering, manufacturing and is backup for.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma with minimum 2 years related experience preferred*

Multitasking and Accurate Data Entry with proficient PC applications such as Project (A Must),Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point*

Operate standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers

Ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary
