Job Duties, including but not limited to:

-Provide a full range of occupational therapy assistant services, including the services given below, as directed by the supervising occupational therapist.

-Use assessment tools, intervention techniques and treatment modalities under the plan of care of a credentialed provider.

-Use complex/multi-step instructions with patients, caregivers, and other health care professionals and adapt those instructions according to the learning styles of the trainees or individuals receiving the instructions.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

-Associate’s Degree for Occupational Therapy Assistant from a college or university accredited at the time of graduation by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA).

Experience: Candidates must have the following experience:

-Have at least 3 years of experience within the last 5 years as an occupational therapy assistant. Must have previous experience in the treatment of traumatic brain injury.

Security/Transportation:

-National Background Investigation

-Must be US Citizen

-Must have reliable transportation to and from work site

Licensing and Certification:

-Certified through the National Board of Certified Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)

-Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) from the American Heart Association

-Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support from the American Heart Association

-Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as an Occupational Therapy Assistant
