Temp-to-Perm

1st Shift Mon-Fri (8:30am-05:00pm)

Job Summary

The position of Receiver is responsible for the day to day operations of Client’s receiving line, including customer specific systems and inventories. The Receiver will insure that product purchased from Client’s vendors is accurately identified, matched with paperwork and entered into Client’s or client specific accounting system (ERP). Receiving operating hours are 8:00am to 4:30pm. Reporting to the warehouse manager or other designated senior team members, the receiver will carry out the following activities:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintains a consistent and positive attendance pattern.

• Maintain a clean, well-organized and efficient work area.

• Work with sales/admin, expediter, and production staff to track and schedule all product through the receiving area.

• Manage Receiver’s time and request support as needed to meet daily receiving requirements.

• Inspect packing materials used by Vendors. Report substandard packaging to purchasing prior to accepting the product-photograph/document condition as needed.

• Visually inspect and audit all inbound product; confirm quantity, condition, part number, and any other requirements against documentation provided to validate accuracy. Report any discrepancies to the buyer.

• Enter all received product into Client’s or client specific accounting and product tracking systems.

• Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.

• Develop relationships with key shipping providers to get visibility to inbound product and educate shipper on Client’s product handling requirements.

• Ensure that all operating procedures are followed in the receiving area including ESD and Safety.

• Establish and maintain receiving work instructions with support of the warehouse and production managers as well as the director of operations for all receiving activities with special attention given to specific customer and vendor requirements.

Additional Duties

• Monitor receiving supply levels. Reorder as required to maintain proper stock levels.

• Cross-train for Client’s shipping area and act as back up to the shipper as required.

• Willingly performs all other duties and responsibilities assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or GED and one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

WSS Requirements:

- High School diploma or equivalent experience

- Must be completely Drug FREE

- Must have proven abilities to work well as an individual

- Must have strong communication skills

- Must have reliable/continuous transportation

along with a contingency support plan.
