Description of Services

• Guide and assist in enablement of business and technology transformation program and project plans, business cases, roadmaps and other supporting activities.

• Guide and support business activity monitoring and business intelligence (analysis and reporting) activities.

• Support linkages to Government of Alberta strategies and goals.

• Guide and support business, process, application and technology integration activities with other Government of Alberta departments and external stakeholder groups.

• Assist in defining governance and organization design to support new structures, processes, and approaches resulting from business and technology transformation.

• Support internal and external stakeholder engagement workshops and meetings.

• Support program management and change management leads in the successful delivery of business and technical initiatives.

• Provide tracking and reporting of time and status on all work as required.

Evaluation Matrix - Mandatory Skills

M3:Enterprise architecture experience in an environment of equivalent size and complexity to the Government of Alberta.

M4:Experience in developing and maintaining standards, work-products/artifacts templates and reference architectures in three or more architecture domains: Business, Data, Application, Technology, and IT Security.

M5:Experience with business and technology transformation program / project planning and roadmap development.

M6:Experience with enterprise architecture trends, methods and guidelines and related concepts for all of the following –enterprise, application, business, data, security, and technology domains.

M7:Certification with enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g. The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF), Gartner or Zachman

M8:Experience with Enterprise Edition of SAP Powerdesigner Enterprise Architect version 16

M9:Experience establishing an enterprise architecture practice using Enterprise Architecture Management practices and enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g. The Open Group Architecture Framework TOGAF, FEAF, or Zachman Framework).

M10:Experience and proficiency in technical writing (e.g. Technical application documentation, application operational documentation, application technical/disaster recovery documentation, and non-functional requirements in procurement documents such as Requests for Proposals, Requests for Information, Requests for Comments)

D1: Experience with the Government of Alberta Enterprise Architecture or similar corporate architectures, and all associated best practices, methods, standards, tools, policies, and processes.

D2: Training and experience with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, Microscope, and GAEA

D3: Experience with one or more other architecture domains – application, business, data / information, enterprise, technology, security and solution.

D4: Experience presenting and communicating effectively at the executive and management level.

D5: Experience with legacy system renewal projects in an architecture role.

D6: Experience in architecting and leading business intelligence and/or business activity monitoring solutions.

D7: Experience organizing and facilitating workshops.

D8: Experience with legacy system renewal projects in an architecture role.
