This is a direct-client opening for an IT Specialist located in Matthews, NC. This is a 6+ month contract-to-hire and the rate/salary will depend on experience.

Candidate will have responsibilities across the board in the Information Technology department. They will specialize in several areas but will be able to perform any mission critical tasks for business continuity as it pertains to Information Technology. They will be able to work well in a group project environment as well as in individual assignments. They should possess good interpersonal skills as it relates to helpdesk and associate training skills. Must be able to work independently and have good problem-solving skills. Experience in developing support and user documentation will be required.

This position will be a temp position with a term of six months. The position may lead to an offer of full-time employment depending on the performance of the candidate. Below are the requirements and desired skill for a successful candidate.


Education: Two-year degree in the computer sciences (or related field of study) from an accredited institution is required. Four-year degree preferred.

Experience – Four years in general Information Technology. An Additional 1-2 years in IT support a plus. Microsoft and Cisco certifications also a plus.

Microsoft office products – Experience installing, configuring and supporting all MS Office product is required. A good working knowledge of Access DB development is desired.

Microsoft 365 Cloud products – Experience in Outlook, Dynamics and Business Central strongly desired

Microsoft Operating Systems – Basic administration experience with Active Directory, User Administration, File and Directory Structure and Security, File recovery and all other aspects of basic system administration is required. Experience in Hyper-V and managing application specific servers desired. Any experience in firewalls and DMZ architecture helpful.

Laptop and Desktop systems - Experience in configuration and installations. Needs to be able to troubleshoot hardware or software problems on initial setup and create corrective measures.

Sharefile (Cloud based) – User setup and security structure desired. An understanding of cloud file sharing systems and procedures will be a plus.

Security – End user and administrative utility experience with Kaspersky EndPoint desired.

Cisco Unity – Experience in user/extension/voicemail configuration, setup and reporting is desired. This includes physical phone setup and associate training.

Cloud Computing – Any experience with cloud architecture is desired.

Documentation – Strong documentation skills, both technical and end-user, strongly desired.
