Company Overview: Our client designs, manufactures and supplies technology, equipment and services to the power generation industry. The company and its subsidiaries provide a wide range of products and services such as heat recovery steam generators; air pollution emission reduction equipment; heat exchangers; and boilers and boiler services to global power generation, combined cycle, industrial, environmental, refinery, petrochemical, solar, biomass and waste-to-energy markets. The company also provides services in the areas of computational fluid dynamics, field engineering, laboratory services, installations, maintenance, overhauls and shutdowns, inspections, retrofits, replacements and repairs, upgrades, and technical services.

Position Summary:

The Director, Mergers & Acquisitions, is responsible for sourcing, screening and developing targets that fit with company’s criteria for acquisitions as well as supporting and developing strategic growth and other special-project initiatives for company.


• Minimum 8-10 years of experience in any of the following: Investment Banking or Private Equity or similar experience within a Corporate or Business Development role leading Mergers & Acquisitions.

• Preferred focus on Industrial, Power and Infrastructure related areas including a demonstrated success in developing deal flow through existing network of contacts.

• Ability to interact with market participants (company owners, advisors, legal teams, etc.) in order to develop relationships for future acquisition activity.

• Experience with identifying an investment thesis, supporting it with evidence, and convincing management of its merit.

• MBA or equivalent demonstrated experience.


• Develop deal flow for companies that align with company acquisition criteria.

• Interact with outside influencers such as investment banks, private equity firms, deal finders, private wealth offices, etc. to grow the company deal database.

• Develop acquisition target list for specific power and industrial markets. Build and communicate the integrated strategic and financial rational for core transactions.

• Support the construction of valuation tools for potential acquisitions.

• Assist in the modeling and review of alternative deal scenarios.

• Create and maintain benchmarks of industry trends, deals and financings.

• Support the annual strategic planning process with acquisition market trends and deal pipeline.

• Support companywide strategic initiatives through data analysis, in-depth process analysis, and cross-departmental coordination and management of complex projects.


A meaningful compensation package will be developed for the successful candidate that includes a base salary, along with performance-based bonus.
