Required Qualifications:

• Must be able to interview on site, in person, in Columbus, OH

• 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of experience and education

• Strong experience in core Java programming

• Strong Java EE technologies and focus on back end development building restful web services

• Strong experience with integrating with web services and building batch files extract

• Strong hands on experiencing with spring, spring workflow, Hibernate, and MVC patterns.

• Recognized as advanced individual contributor. Considered subject matter expert within discipline.

• Excellent, clear, and articulate verbal and written communication skills

• Conducts highly complex work critical to the organization.

• Works without supervision with extensive latitude for independent judgment.

Preferred Skills

• Professional experience supervising team members and partnering up with business and operation partners.

• Experience in Banking industry with focus on payments business preferred

• Experience in building automated tests with Ruby/Cucumber

• Excellent analytical skills

• Knowledgeable in SDLC

Job Description:

• Design, develop, document, test, and debug new and existing software systems and/or applications for market sale or large-scale proprietary software for internal use.

• Use Java programming language and related software development technologies such as Java 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE), Java Server Pages (JSP)/Servlets, or Java Server Faces (JSF).

• Serve as technical expert on development projects.

• Participate in full development life cycle including requirements analysis and design.

• Write technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements.

• Support, maintain, and document software functionality.

• Identify and evaluate new technologies for implementation.

• Analyze code to find causes of errors and revise programs as needed.

• Participate in software design meetings and analyze user needs to determine technical requirements.

• Consult with end-user to prototype, refine, test, and debug programs to meet needs.

• May assist less experienced peers.
