The Sr. Accountant, Revenue Recognition is responsible for maintaining the financial books and records. Revenue are recognized and reported in line with the Company’s revenue recognition policy and GAAP. This is a dynamic accounting position with opportunities to collaborate cross functionally, gain a deep knowledge of our products, and influence business decisions.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:

Own deliverables, including deferred revenue and controls, provide analysis, and recommend solutions and process improvements.

Demonstrates working understanding of source documentation and be able to adapt to various accounting and financial recording systems (CRM and SAP).

Assist in implementation of new revenue recognition 606 accounting guidance.

Applies working knowledge of accounting principles and practices, financial close processes, controls and financial statement preparation to daily work.

Work cross functionally with customer contracts team to review contracts and determine proper revenue treatment.

Assist in SOX testing and compliance.

Prepares more complex journal entries.

Reviews more complex transactions and prepares reconciliations, adhering to compliance standards.

Develop and create process workflow and streamline various accounting processes for tracking and reporting.

Complete close activities, including analysis of deferred revenue and fair value analysis.

Assist in testing and implementing any project related work.

Improve efficiency of existing deferred revenue processes and controls.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: (Submission Summary)

1. BA in accounting and/or finance

2. Minimum 3 years relevant work experience

3. Strong communication and analytical skills

4. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (demonstrated)

5. Prior experience in Revenue Recognition preferred

6. SAP, CRM, BW & Quikview experience preferred

7. CPA preferred
