DataCom Design delivers quality, detailed designs and consulting services with a comprehensive portfolio in Higher Education, Science/Research, Healthcare, Municipal, Financial Services, and Corporate clients.

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic team member for our growing operation to provide senior level Security Consulting and design of complex integrated security systems. The ideal candidate would have minimum 8 years full-time experience in the electronic security industry with a solid knowledge of security systems including, but not limited to telecommunications, video surveillance, access control and intrusion detection, emergency communications and duress, cabling, AE standards, best installation practices, and experience with construction methods and field related work.

Consulting and design would include planning and design of complex, integrated security systems based upon project programmatic requirements and unique client requirements; communicating design concepts and recommendations to clients; preparing technical recommendations based upon cost/benefit analyses and industry best practices; conducting client interviews to determine needs and/or identify deficiencies in existing operations; performing competitive bid analysis to include technical compliance and pricing review; performing vendor submittal review and field inspections of vendor work; managing projects to include client interface and attendance at project team meetings, work scheduling to ensure that project milestones are met and quality control of project team work.

The position is available in Austin, San Antonio, Dallas or Houston.

Must be a professional and team-oriented individual. The position requires excellent technical writing skills with in-depth knowledge of MS Word and Excel, the ability to work well with others, superior work ethics, and enjoy a fast-paced learning environment. A fundamental understanding of the Auto Cad and Revit drafting process is a plus. BICSI and/or ASIS security certifications are desired.
