Growing company in the Lynchburg, Virginia area has a need for a Customer Service Manager. This is a full time position with a full benefits package and relocation. Responsible for full scope of service related opportunities. Constantly interacting with customers, engineering, and production to help solve technical issues with equipment. Manage staff of experienced Field Service Technicians installing and servicing Simplimatic Equipment worldwide.

Responsibilities:

Communicate with customers by phone and/or in person to help troubleshoot and solve technical issues.

Manage and Train staff of Field Service Technicians

Provide cost estimate resource planning for installation and service related business.

Visits customers at their facilities to investigate problems and provides solutions through repair or supervisory role.

Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems

Participates in continuous improvement of products and processes

Cultivates customer relationships/satisfaction with positive communication assuring quality service is provided.

Supports Quality Assurance by inspecting outgoing equipment and documenting results

Provides support for field service technicians working from customer facilities

Engaged in training of employees and customers in installation, programming, safety, maintenance, and repair of machinery and equipment

Confers with managers, instructors, or customer's representative to determine technical training needs

Contributes and helps to develop technical documentation packages and other process documents

Develops and conducts technical training programs

Skills/Qualifications:

Professional appearance

Excellent written and oral communications skills

Ability to troubleshoot issues with technical equipment over the telephone

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers

Potential Travel up to 20% of the time

Desired Education and/or Experience:

Technical Degree; Engineering, or Packaging Degree a Plus.

Two to five years related experience and/or training.

Proven working experience in Customer Service
