Food manufacturing client seeking a Project Engineer for their Zanesville, OH facility. The Project Engineer leads and supports various projects in Capital improvement, and operational improvements up to $500k in scope.

Must Have:

• Bachelors degree of Engineering required. Preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Process Engineering.

• 5+ years experience with projects exceeding $1MM.

• Comprehensive knowledge of food/beverage engineering principles and sanitary design standards for food & beverage manufacturing.

• Experience in Food, Beverage, Pharmaceutical, or biotech industries.

• Extensive knowledge of machinery applications and design of food processing and packaging equipment.

• CAD Experience preferred.

• Willingness to Travel 20% - 40%.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manages process, packaging and facility capital projects from a technical, financial and manpower perspective.

• Directly participates in the design, development and creation of scope for engineering projects or the engineering work of the department.

• Justifying, implementing and closing capital project ranging from $5k-$3MM.

• Creates project estimates and timelines for initial project consideration.

• Identifies and proposes equipment and/or processing options to meet objectives within projects.

• Leads the bid process, budgeting and submission process for capital and operational projects.

• Directs the installation, commissioning, qualification and verification for regional engineering capital projects.
