Position Summary

As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring our software lives up to its world-class reputation. Working alongside a Lead Support team member, you will focus on business intelligence solutions, both from a support perspective and a quality assurance perspective. In this role you will also be providing Tier II and Tier III support for report issues. You will have the opportunity to use troubleshooting skills to help solve client support issues and ensure the report developers successfully completed the functional requirements.

Our Client Support team members push our software to the limit, making sure it is efficient and intuitive; working side by side with our developers to create high quality software. In this position you will be able to gain experience in the oil and gas industry; including economic, accounting and finance knowledge of the industry. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (engineering, computer science, accounting, finance, MIS or related fields.)

• Top-notch academics

• Eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

• Highly adaptable, capable of learning new technologies

• Cognos Report Studio and Framework Manager

• Well-developed oral and written communication skills

• Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Suite

• Exposure to MSSQL database

• Knowledge and experience with databases, understanding how to query data and tie back to the source

• Basic knowledge of complex SQL queries (e.g. inner/left/right/full joins, correlated subquery, analytic functions) and best practices (MSSQL)

• Comfortable working within a fast-paced environment

• A drive to continue learning, specifically about the energy business

• Effective problem-solving skills

• Passion for customer service

Preferred

• Experience with oil and gas revenue accounting, gas processing, crude/gas/NGL transportation or related fields

• Previous experience creating user manuals, training documentation and interactive training materials for software applications

• Experience providing software support and troubleshooting for software applications

• Experience with Cognos

• Basic knowledge of T-SQL programing (anonymous sql block, stored procedures, stored functions, packages, triggers)

• Proficiency with agile methods or continuous integration

• Understanding of good unit and functional test writing

• Be able to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel
