IT Programmer / Business Analyst – WI #4296

Summary

Design, code and implement computer programs for a variety of data processing needs; perform analysis and modification of existing programs and operations to meet changing needs to provide for system enhancements. Write maintenance and user documentation to support programs; test and debug programs for accuracy and reliability; instruct program users in proper operation.

Responsibilities

• Gaining a thorough understanding of the ERP system for the warehouse operations

• Maintain ongoing programming documentation in support of systems for Disaster recovery

• Work with Complex EDI transactions and processing within the warehouse operations

o create connections to and from EDI Trading partners and VANS

• Conduct training as needed in support of EDI transmissions.

• Provide remote support for end users.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience with minimum 3 years’ experience in Systems and Database administration.

Experience

• Strong Interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with intermediate team members, other IT areas and clients in various departments

• Competency in generating utility scripts for automating manual processes

• Effective troubleshooting skills to determine problem resolution in a timely manner

• Programming skills related to Structured Programming, HTML, XML, Visual Basic, C#, XSLT and others.

• Experience with the following a plus - Windows Server Administration, VMWare, SAN storage, and Data Networking – to assist the IT Director.

Technical Skill

• Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

• Working knowledge of Microsoft servers

• Programming languages as stated above
