Job Description:

We are seeking a Human Resources Assist for a very important client

The Human Resources position offer hands-on experience in a variety of areas including Learning and Development, data analytics, Lean/6Sigman process improvement, project management and general HR support. The HR Intern will work as a member of a cross-functional team to support innovative, global Career Development projects for multiple site and field employees.

The intern will engage with a cohort of site based interns across the business including R&D (Biology, Chemistry, Engineering) Operations and business support functions. Interns will have an opportunity to engage in career development lunch-n-learns with Sr. Leadership and are required to participate in a coordinated volunteer activity and present their project to the site at the end of the summer.

Responsibilities:

Collaborates with offsite Talent Acquisitions Team to manager candidate care including interview scheduling for Bothell, WA and Eugene, OR. May participate in entry level candidate interviews.

Coordinate new hire orientation and act as site I-9 POC.

Manage summer intern program.

Complete weekly and quarterly data analysis and scorecards.

Project manager for a variety of HR supported projects for Bothell, WA, Eugene, OR and divisional global R&D.

Co-facilitate Career Development Workshops

Provides administrative support to the Site HR Leader. Coordinate communication and general administrative activities, e.g., preparation of presentations, meeting and event coordination, and multiple ad-hoc data requests for requests for employee data

Promote use of intranet resources and HR1 Solution Center to solicit HR process/functional advice.

May assist with managing Employee Relations issues of low to moderate complexity.

Requirement:

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources

Excellent communication skills. Must be able to clearly communicate in a cross functional, matrixed environment at all levels of the organization

Ability to navigate multiple reporting systems and tools

Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Word and advanced capabilities in Excel, and Powerpoint

Proven organizational and time management skills across multiple sites with ability to thrive in a fast paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Confidence to present to groups from 5 – 200 employees.

1 -3 years of HR work experience

3+ years of work experience in a fast paced, multitasking work environment required.

Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality, work independently, multitask, and follow up on projects and issues.

Ability to work with minimal day-to-day supervision.

Strong problem solving skills and reasoning to solve administrative issues.

Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and presentation skills and professionalism to project a professional image, both internally and externally.
