IT Manager, Applications Development

Our client, a reputable, financially stable company is looking for an IT Manager, Applications Development to join their growing team in Madison, WI as a full-time employee. Large investments are fueling their growth, as they transform their go-to-market strategy. From the customer's first touch point via the Web, call center, or direct mail; through their operational, business intelligence and analytic systems, their teams are building the next generation B2B and B2C omni-channel sales and marketing capabilities. This is a hands-on management role that requires practical experience including an applications development background, and not just people leadership. Your responsibilities will include: Project & System Executions (30-40%), Application, Data & Technical Strategy (10-15%), Business Leadership & Customer Relationship (20-30%) and People Leadership (20-30%). * Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business

Administration or equivalent trade-off in professional related work experience.

* Experience working in a B2C work environment (i.e. insurance, retail, etc.).

* 7+ years of related application development experience.

* 3 years of information technology management experience, which includes managing employees and consultants.

* Demonstrated knowledge of Agile / Scrum project management.

* Demonstrated leadership on large, complex projects.

* Demonstrated knowledge of industry trends, standards, best practices, tools.

* Excellent communication and presentation skills.

* Occasional travel (few times a year).


* Salesforce and/or .NET applications development experience.

* Call center operations experience.

* Cross-functional team leadership.
