Qualifications

• Extensive experience in high-end homes

• Professional demeanor and appearance. Courteous, discreet, honest and responsible character

• Energetic, highly service oriented, detail oriented, educated and comfortable with multi-tasking

• Knowledge in careful cleaning and caring for fine fabrics, drapes, antiques, furnishing, valuables and artwork

• Know how to care for fine linens, marble, crystal, silver

• Know which products will do the best job of maintaining, cleaning and disinfecting and which products could destroy the family's possessions

• Ability to operate Crestron integrated technology system

General:

The housekeeper is responsible for the overall appearance of the household.

Typical duties include the following:

• Daily cleaning of the household

• Assure that the individual needs of all family members are met

• Perform as a lady's maid and care for all personal needs and servicing for the lady or ladies.

• Special attention to the family members' wardrobes

• Assist the family members in packing/unpacking and preparing for travel.

• Assist Butler / Household Manager with the preparation and execution of all special events

• Do family & household laundry

• Keep household supplies stocked

• Requires the ability to use job related mechanical equipment

• Performs all other duties, which may be assigned by the Family or Family representatives

• Report equipment malfunctions or repairs needed to Butler / Household Manager

• Adhere and adjust to schedule changes upon request

PLANNING:

• Systematically prepare to assume job assignments ensuring necessary supplies and materials are available so task's can be accomplished efficiently

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

General:.

• Demonstrates full understanding of estate standard operating procedures

• Shows initiative in solving problems while seeking supervisory guidance as necessary.

• Displays good judgment and ability to make decisions that are in the best interest of the Family

• Effective in completing work timely, accurately and efficiently.

• Develops positive working relationships with all staff members

• Minimal absenteeism/tardiness.

PHYISICAL REQUIEREMENTS:

ESSENTIAL:

• Requires being ambulatory for the duration of the shift. May require prolonged standing.

• Requires frequent bending, stooping and reaching from floor level. Climbing ladders and stairs.

• May require lifting, transporting, pushing, pulling and maneuvering large loads weighing up to 75lbs.

• Requires eye/hand coordination and manual dexterity, hearing, seeing, talking, and depth perception. Ability to gather information from work orders and other documents.

• Manual dexterity to perform job functions.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Work is performed inside and outside in all weather conditions.

• Work is performed in areas, which may be unusually hot, cold, noisy, and dimly lit.

• Work includes chemical, cleanser and solvent usage.

RELATIONSHIPS:

• Report directly to Executive Housekeeper and Butler / Household Manager

• Working close all staff members

• Interact with outside vendors as required.
