Job Duties:

Maintain and clean mammography units, film processor, and cassettes on a regular basis in accordance with Radiology department, Food & Drug Administration (FDA), and Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) standards. Stock and maintain an adequate level of supplies required for mammography exams and procedures.

Perform additional administrative task when necessary.

Receive patients explain procedures and provide appropriate care. Determine if any special patient preparation is required.

Assume responsibility for provision of physical and psychological needs of patients during procedures

Provide and assist or physical breast inspection or palpitation

Provide patient education, including breast self-examination techniques

Maintain and clean mammography equipment and x-ray machine on a regular basis in accordance with radiology department standards. Stock and maintain an adequate level of supplies required to perform mammography examinations. Recommend necessary repairs when diagnostic quality is degraded

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Completion of the following:

Graduate from an academic program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiology Technology (JRCERT)

Experience: Candidates must have the following experience:

Possess a minimum of one year of full-time experience as a Mammography Technologist within the last three years


National Background Investigation

Must be US Citizen

Must have reliable transportation to and from work site

License/Certification and Training:

Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR)

Possess current registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as a Mammography Technologist (R.T. (M) (ARRT)


Monday to Friday

8-Hour Shift (40 Hour Work Week with 1-Hour Unpaid Lunch)

7:00 AM to 6:00 PM
