This is an exciting opportunity for an Executive Chef or a Sous Chef ready to take over their own kitchen.
The position is for a creative Executive Chef to assume full culinary responsibility for an established, highly reputable independent restaurant in SW Virginia, Blacksburg area.
The ideal chef will have creative skills, the ability to source local product and create an eclectic menu for a diverse guest base. The restaurant has an upscale casual setting, dinner only with Sunday brunch.
The Executive Chef will provide oversight to the sous chefs and pastry chefs. Requires a full understanding of cost control, labor metrics and food cost.
Experience with catering will be a plus.
The restaurant is located in a highly desirable rural setting in SW Virginia with excellent schools and reasonable cost of living.
Chefs with experience from larger markets such as Roanoke, Richmond or North Carolina markets are encouraged to apply.
$50K - $55K salary
