Job Description:

Perform daily standard cost calculations for our domestic Performance Chemicals’ production facilities, working directly with plant teams to ensure integrity of BOMs and recipes.

Take charge of product line, inventory and account analysis, including process order reconciliation, actual costing and usage variances for key product groups.

Work with Operations team to analyze and define monthly financial forecasting, creating models to forecast trends and manage key variables, like energy consumption.

Execute month-end closing processes to include SAP process order reconciliation, inventory reconciliation, analysis of variance accounts, and distribution of the month end reporting package.

Support our business’ annual budgeting process and annual standard cost rollover.

Within 6 months, gain a strong understanding of SAP & production processes to establish yourself as a go-to person in the plant for financial questions & needs. This expertise won't come from sitting behind your desk- you'll need to get out in the plant, form relationships with your colleagues, and learn all you can. Your understanding of the plant should be high enough that you are able to give guests a high level plant tour.

Constantly look for opportunities for improvement in financial practices and devise & implement solutions to make these processes better. Some of our current challenges are among inventory, consistent SAP usage across the plant, and manual requirements. This will require a high degree of initiative, an entrepreneurial mindset, and the ability to quickly assess a process to determine areas for improvement.

Support special financial analysis projects, assisting with approval for expenditure requests and other special initiatives such as capital projects, Operational Excellence, cost reviews, and Six Sigma analyses.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilitie:

1. An undergraduate degree in Finance or Accounting/Finance.

2. A minimum of 3 – 5 years in financial analysis experience, including financial reporting and analysis, preferably in a manufacturing environment with standard costing experience.

3. Work experience with a large company ERP is required, SAP preferred.

4. Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) essential.

5. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

6. Ability to quickly learn new programs and systems.

7. Strong drive to analyze and deliver opportunities for improvement within business financial management systems.

8. Exceptional ability to work well with all levels of employees.
