Job Responsibilities:

The Chief Sales Officer is a high-level executive in the business. He/she is in charge of the

management of the entire sales department, overseeing all sales-related activities. The Chief

Sales Officer’s daily activities are vast and include overseeing the day-to-day creation of sales

strategies. He/she studies sales numbers in order to assess how successful sales strategies are

in the business. The Chief Sales Officer answers directly to the business stakeholders.

He/she provides leadership, direction, and resources to the sales department and is

accountable for the overall sales department performance, the achievement of sales

department goals and targets, and the alignment of the business’s strategy. The Chief Sales

Officer is also charged with ensuring sustainable revenue growth by constantly maximizing

market penetration

Key accountabilities include:

Supervisory/Leadership Role:

• Lead overall sales program, inclusive of securing new consumers, expanding

opportunities within the current consumer base through new project initiatives, and

delivering new product offerings.

• Establishing and managing the operations of store and head office

• Monitoring and following-up store activity, managing reports and the issuance of


• Project management for initiatives launched with brand and business partners

• Providing coaching and motivational support to store personnel

• Sets departmental KPIs and evaluates the effectiveness of the sales initiatives, making

appropriate changes that encourage achievement of overall sales and business targets.

• Implementing the business’s development activities and corporate branding in order to

increase revenue and gross profit.

• Take initiative to mentor key personnel in the sales department, ensuring their constant

professional growth, and assisting them in the execution of their duties where

necessary. This is in an effort to prepare these persons for the assumption of his duties

in the event of his absence or retirement.


• Tasked with an analytical role where he/she conducts business analyses, performance

analyses, competitive analyses etc. In this position, also tracks and reviews actual sales

results, weighing them against the set targets and business KPIs in order to determine

the effectiveness of sales initiatives and implement necessary changes and solutions.

• Articulate the results of the analyses in reports, presentations, and recommendations to

key stakeholders. He/she synthesizes the same kind of reports for financial feasibility

studies that he conducts in order to determine sales growth and revenue targets for the

sales department.

Knowledge and Opportunity:

• Maintaining a stable knowledge base of the business’s industry, competitors, and

regulatory activity. He/she conducts regular research, keeps up with trends and best

practices, which give the business a competitive edge, and keep the business at par with

some of the biggest players in the market.

• Implementation of new and well-researched sales initiatives, strategies, and solutions.

The Chief Sales Officer further identifies top talent and contributes to the recruitment of

key sales department personnel, hence, maintaining efficient and effective execution of

duties within the sales department.


• He/she works closely with other executive officers and advises them on sales strategies,

forecasting, and general management issues in order to align the business’s efforts,

avoid conflict of interests, and enable the achievement of the business’s overall goals

and targets.

• Conducting store visits once a week, communicating closely with stores and addressing


Required Qualifications

• Strong sense of ownership; committed to delivering company growth and expansion


• Appreciates high standards for efficiency and ethical behavior in the workplace

• Calm, patient, and able to handle daily pressures with a positive attitude

• At least 5 years' experience in any project management, operations, or

finance/accounting-related function

• At least 2 years a high-level sales position in a fast-paced and dynamic business


• Must demonstrate a successful record of accomplishing and exceeding goals in his

managerial positions while growing and scaling a sales organization of a sizeable


• Experience in managing projects with internal departments as well as external partners

of company

• Communication skills are essential for this position

• Must be highly passionate and consumer-oriented; he must have a passion for

interacting with others, a strong commitment to delivering excellence to consumers,

and have a sense of urgency and resourcefulness. He must also be commitment to

quality, have a can-do attitude, be capable of working independently, as well as with

others, be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision, be able to handle

numerous tasks and meet tight deadlines, and demonstrate composure in times of

uncertainty, inspiring the same in his team.

• Must demonstrate superior leadership skills, being able to move a vast cross-functional

group of professionals in a single direction and with a common vision and objective

• Basic excel skills (i.e., VLookup, Pivot)

• Flexible work schedule (can work on weekends and holidays, on occasion)

• Able to understand and relay instructions accurately

• Fluent English and Tagalog communication
