Longstanding Florida not-for-profit corporation that provides a wide range of behavioral health and social services to the community is seeking an Outpatient and/or Inpatient Psychiatrist.

Included in the groups service array are 24-hour emergency services; inpatient psychiatric services for children, adolescents and adults; and numerous outpatient services, including medication management, case management, counseling, supported housing, psychosocial rehabilitation, two programs for the homeless, a therapeutic family program, state hospital liaison services, forensic services, in-jail services, and nine Florida Assertive Community Treatment (FACT) programs for adults with severe and persistent mental illness

The essential functions of the Psychiatrist include, but are not limited to: Provide diagnosis, medication, therapies, interventions and other approved treatment modalities for assigned caseload; maintains therapeutic environment. Assess patients in psychiatric crisis. Ensure each patient has problem-oriented treatment plan with appropriate goals and objectives. Conduct psychiatric evaluations and treatment plan reviews at assigned intervals to assess patient progress and makes appropriate recommendations.

Ensure that patient is fully informed regarding any medication prescribed and signs the appropriate informed consent paperwork. Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings. Consult with staff, family members, significant others and other agencies regarding diagnostic, medical, and treatment problems of patients. Provide feedback/guidance to clinical managers about clinical functions in the area which they supervise. Provides consultations to other staff members who are providing clinical services
